You’ll be greeted by the Bactrian camels as you wonder round the park to see all the animals!

Food and Drink

Enjoy the stunning countryside views or wonderful food from the Park View Restaurant and Bar based at Chew Valley Animal Park. From freshly made pizzas to a Sunday roast, the chef and the team are always coming up with new inventive items to add to the menu that you’ll surely love! Or simply grab a tea, coffee, or a refreshing cold beverage to bring round with you as you enjoy the animal walkway!

Animal Encounters

Get up close and handle some of the smaller furries.

  • Meet Willow, Hazel, Olive and the rest of the rabbit group!
  • Stroke the charismatic guinea pigs!
  • Have a mouse sit on the palm of your hand!
  • Watch a rat fall asleep on your shoulder!
You will be given a coloured wristband upon arrival which will allow you entry to a timed slot on the day. Currently through Autumn and Winter, there are 30-minute sessions at 11:30am and 1:30pm during weekdays, and 11:30am, 12:30pm, and 1:30pm during weekends and holidays.

Meet the Piglets

Have a piglet collapse on your feet as you scratch their belly! These friendly, docile pigs are a must see and are always grateful for a bit of attention!

Meet the Pygmy Goats

Go inside their enclosure and get up close and personal with all the Pygmy goats. Give Penny and Tiny Tina a scratch, play with Zoe, or be bombarded by Ebony who will be after your goat feed!

Meet the Chickens

Enter the chicken pen and hand feed the excited birds! Learn about all their different personalities and characters, whether this is Dave, the black booted bantam, or Barry, the excitable and food-loving hen!

Animal Interactions

You can now book animal experiences at Chew Valley Animal Park! Meet one of the amazing animals with one of our rangers for an unforgettable experience. Feed the animals, give them some enrichment, help with some training, ask the rangers any questions, and of course take lots of photos!

Experiences available: capybaras, foxes, meerkats, donkeys & Shetland ponies, or lemurs & tortoise.

The package costs includes day passes for your visit and a £5 lunch voucher each! Price is varied depending on which experience you pick.

Please note that children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Send us a message or enquire at the café for more information or to book an experience!

Keeper Talks

Learn more about some of your favourite animals with an educational, interesting, and stimulating keeper talks! Find one of the animal team talking about the capybaras, Bactrian camels, spectacled caiman, or one of the many other talks on offer!

We are thrilled to welcome back educational visits to Chew Valley Animal Park!

We offer a range of exciting workshops, from ‘biofact prop’ sessions and educational handling talks, to ecological skills, enrichment making, or a guided tour!

We prefer to tailor the workshops to meet your expectations so the group can have the most engaging and insightful day as possible. So, please get in contact with us so we can begin designing your day!
